Benjamin, if you would like to create puzzles here for us and get positive comments, I have three suggestions:

1. Solve more puzzles so you can get an idea of what makes a puzzle enjoyable to solve.

2. Read the link on the create puzzle page titled "Advice on Creating Puzzles" written by site creator, the late great Jan Wolter.

3. Read Forum Topic #6: What do you like in a puzzle?

Very colorful, Please note Teresa's comments. I had to do the same when I started in July. Have to really use my imagination to see the arrows.

Benjamin, looking forward to your new puzzles. Don't worry we all struggle at first and then you find your groove.

At least your quality score is higher than your difficulty score. Yes, work lots of puzzles to help you understand what makes a good puzzle. I had been solving them for a few years before I created my first one. Also, solve your puzzle yourself before you publish it, to see if you find it enjoyable, and to see how difficult it is. If you don't like it, others won't, either. No one will know if you scrap a puzzle you tried to create. I've done that plenty of times. I had an idea, but it just didn't look good when I was finished, so it never got seen. And don't stop contributing. The more puzzles there are, the more fun we all can have.
