I started a small outline of an image... and was gonna add lines to improve the image, possibly extend out the trophy base with a hand holding it. but this puzzle had a tricky yet fun solve as is. no need to mess with it, sometimes it's all about the solve :)

agree with your decision about the solve Kurt
#12: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Nov 26, 2016 [HINT]
after initial ll...

el the 5 in r1 to dot r1,c's 1-3, 19-20. then ll dots r2,c20.

now you should have a 3 pixel opening in r2, c's 21-23. using the "2" clues remaining in c's21-23 in reference to the next "2" clue in r4, you know that at least one of the "2"'s in those c's must extend upwards into the opening in r2....which allows you to make r2,c22 black. more ll....

then whether or not the "3" clue in c13 extends upwards or down, you'll trigger either the2 in r4 or the 2 in r6(which will use up the remaining 1 clue in c12) this allows you to place dots in the rest of c12, except r4 and r6.....line logic finishes.

Fun one, Kurt!
#16: Andrew Schultz (blurglecruncheon) on Jan 15, 2024 [HINT]
Helper to 53%.

Then as Kurt said, C1-3 and C14-15 are dots. R2 C15 is a dot. And one of C2 R21-23 must be black. Then edge logic makes R1C10-12 dots.

If the other 2 is in R3 C12-13 then R4 has a contradiction. Helper solves it.
