November 13 is annually celebrated in the United States as Sadie Hawkins Day. Inspired by events in the comic strip, Li’l Abner, this uniquely American holiday encourages women to take charge of their lives and to ask men out on a date.

How to Celebrate
â—¾Even though women today are more independent than their counterparts in the early 20th century, there is still an unspoken societal rule that it is not proper for women to ask men out on dates. Use this day as an excuse to break these rules and ask your sweetie out on a date.
â—¾If you have found someone who you would like to spend your life with, why not propose marriage to them today? Get on your knees and ask the man of your dreams to be your life partner.

You welcome. It seems that the others have tired of this type of puzzle. Thank you for being my friend and working them. We have a great bunch of people here, but at times they get fickle. The trend now are the little 20 X 20 B&W. Have a group of these already done then I am on to something else.

Cute puzzle. I haven't heard reference to Sadie Hawkins Day for quite a while.
Thanks Donna.

Donna, I am not tired of your puzzles. I look forward to them.

I met my hubby through a personal ad, before the internet dating sites were born. So in a way, we asked each other out.

Thank you Jewel and Kathy.

Very risky Kathy but it sounds like it turned out great!

Jewel I tried to find the not so run of the mill holidays.

Again thank you both.

Don't get discouraged Donna. This sort of thing happens a lot. Sometimes it's just a case of coincidence. People get busy and don't comment or someone happens to start another series at the middle of yours. It's not that they're tired of yours it just happens. Also not all puzzles are going to get the same response. You'll make a puzzle that just happens to be of great interest to a lot of people and you will have comments galore(that's always nice). Sometimes what I do when it seems people are getting tired of a series is I give that series a rest and then add puzzles to it periodically. Everyone seems to enjoy that. No matter what Donna, keep creating and keep enjoying it. I know a lot of people here are loving your puzzles. :)

Thanks Aldege. Those are the exact words I told myself. I have a few more of these and then I am off on my next series. Will wait till the day of to post. In the mean time I will just continue. My joy comes from creating the puzzles getting comments is like adding a cherry on top. Thanks again for being a good friend and supporting me. You are not the only one, have you looked at some of the comments? WOW, lots of cherries.

I'm certainly enjoying these puzzles, Donna. This was a good one! Plenty of white space makes for a good solve.

Thanks Teresa. I always look forward to your comments.

I really like your puzzles too but as Aldege says I don't always have time to solve but when I do I always pick one of yours.
