One of our local electric companies goes by APS for Arizona Public Service. My niece who lives in a small town in AZ got a scam call at work, no less, with the caller ID showing APS. Scammers are getting bolder and bolder.#3: Belita (belita) on Oct 30, 2016

Thx gang. I actually had a guy call me and say he was from CRA(Canada revenue) and that I was in serious trouble and could lose my house if I didn't call him back right away. It's surprising how many people fall for that sort of thing, which is very sad. I've had something similar several times about the IRS. If I didn't call a certain lawyer, I'd be in trouble. I'm a CPA. I know the IRS doesn't do that. If there's a problem, they write a letter. I've dealt with IRS letters. One of my clients got one of those calls, too. It scares people. I've had calls, also, about my computer being under threat. I tell them, "No, it's not, my godson takes care of it." This is true. He does. But, I tend to be a gullible person, so it's lucky I'm a CPA and have a godson looking after my computer. Some things I know aren't true.#9: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Nov 1, 2016 [HINT]
