Puzzle Description:

Hello. "Yes is this Jennifer?" Yes it is. " This is U.S. customs agent Bob Hunger. Were you expecting a package from Canada ma'am?" Why yes I am,is everything OK? " I'm afraid not. You see we noticed something suspicious when we x-rayed the package and when we opened it there were 3 boxes of supposed Girl Guide cookies. It seemed unusual that someone would send real cookies from Canada to Hawaii so we called in the K-9 unit. Now normally the highly trained dog would smell for contraband and then sit if detected. This dog just went berserk and destroyed the package and consumed the contents. The poor pooch is now howling from stomach pain and can s#&t thru the eye of a needle. We suggest you contact your supplier and have them ship you more. This is all at your expense you understand. Your lucky were not going to charge you for a vet bill." Does it not show chocolate mint cookies on the box? " Yes it does ma'am but we can't take any chances." Chocolate can kill a dog you fool. " Is that so. Well let's hope we don't have to charge you for funeral expenses as well as a new dog and specialized training. Have a good day ma'am."

This reminds me of the time I was traveling between the US and Canada and was waiting in a customs inspection line. They brought in the dog, who came sniffing at my tote bag I had set on the floor next to my feet. The customs officer with the dog looked at me and asked, "You have something good in there?" I said, "Yeah, beef jerky." I was so embarrassed. I'll just bring crackers next time.

Oh dear. I hope the shipment goes more smoothly than this.

While I was midway through the solve, I thought you might have created a caricature of Donald Trump. :)

THX gang. When John reminded me that they may not let the cookies across the border and that I should probably check with them first,it brought this puzzle to mind and I found it amusing and just had to share it with my friends. Glad you guys and gals enjoyed it. :)

Lol! The dog made sure no contraband got through!

I don't know if anyone noticed but there were chocolate mint cookie crumbs on U.S. customs agent Bob Hunger's face,shirt and surrounding areas. The canine unit was never called in. That was a reuse. Agent Bob Hunger ate all the cookies and needed some kind of plausible story to tell our aunt Jenny. Thx Vesta.:)

Ha! Ha! Aldege! You are right that chocolate can kill a dog, especially my 5 pound toy poodle. None of my 3 dogs will get near these cookies. I took my check for Destyny to the post office this morning (10/22). It takes 3 days to get from Hawai`i to California, so I wouldn't start looking for it until 10/27 or 28. I told the post mistress what I was doing. She was excited, too.
