Puzzle Description:

Solving puzzles, of course. We are all smarter thanks to webpbn. Yes, that's our buddy Aldege in my sample webpbn puzzle. :-)

My favorite puzzle game (other than webpbn) is solving cryptograms. Here's one for you. It's one of Jan Wolter's favorite quotes by a game designer. See if you can figure it out (without using a cryptogram solver):

So, what's your other favorite puzzle game?

I'm not a big puzzle guy as you all know. I do enjoy crossword puzzles but limited brain cell capacity keeps me from completing many. Creating on WPBN seems to increase my brain cell capacity a fair bit, sometimes to the point where I can't wear a hat. Thx for putting me in your puzzle Teresa buddy. I always feel honoured when one of you guys do that. I laughed hard when I saw my mug in the bottom corner. Why is it I cry when I look in a mirror. Oops there's me out fishing again.lol. Another great one Teresa. :)

Outstanding puzzle! I like jigsaw puzzles.

Great puzzle. What a neat idea putting Aldege in the corner.

I love crosswords and acrostics (but they ARE logical!)
If you like crosswords, it's fun to test youself against the experts who play on the NY Times site (there's a small yearly fee-I think it's $39 now). It's unbelievable how fast some of those people are. There's also a tournament in Connecticut every year. I have competed there but never got close to the winning times.

Very clever Teresa. I love Logic puzzles and word arithmetic.

This is so neat! Great Job.

Like Lisa, I *love* jigsaw puzzles! Sometimes I'll solve them face down, if the picture is too easy.

I used to buy the Dell and Penny Press puzzle books (one is Variety Puzzles and the other is Pencil Puzzles and Word Games). Sometimes I just grab the Logic Puzzles. The first PBN puzzles I ever saw were in one of these books.

I loved taking the GRE, in fact, because it had an entire Logic section. I never ended up going to Grad school, but I *can* brag that I got a 2220 (out of 2400) on the GRE.

I, too, love jigsaws, but my cats are just way to helpful. How well I remember Dell and Penny Press. My escape before computers.

I still buy the Variety puzzles magazines for the times when I can't be at the computer. I would love to solve the cryptogram but I can't see it. Great puzzle and I liked seeing Aldege in the corner

I fixed the link so it is live, and you should be able to see it and print it out.

I like cryptograms, mazes, and McGyver type computer games. There are some adventure games out there where you need to complete a series of tasks that overall solve the main conflict, but you need to jerry-rig a bunch of found objects together to get through each stage. They can also have an "escape room" feel to them. I would love to try an escape room for real. My friends and I are looking into it.
