Puzzle Description:

Niki and I decided to go for a drive to look at the fall colours today.(they're at their peek right now). Lo and behold what do we see walking in the middle of the road and coming straight at us?

Is that a bear? Wow. What an experience. Great puzzle, fun solve.

Thx gang. It's not just a bear,it's a cub. A couple of weeks ago,I saw a cub on the side of the road picking berries. I was driving too fast and it ran off into the woods. This time I saw it way in advance and was able to slow down and stop so as not to scare it away. It just mosied on up to my mirror and started sniffing. I started to roll down my window to let it sniff my hand but Niki was scared it would bite me. I think I could of pet it. It appeared to be so docile. It sure was cute and what a cool experience it was. We got pictures of the cub and also some colourful scenery that Niki will post for everyone, especially our friends in Arizona who may not get the opportunity to see autumn colours as much as others do. As soon as we recharge the camera batteries. :)

What a wonderful experience. And a really cute puzzle. There are a few places in Arizona where you can see the leaves change, but nothing as spectacular as can be seen elsewhere. Arizona is not all desert. Northern Arizona is much higher in elevation and is mountainous with large pine forests and other trees. Before they quit using the one weather station in northern Arizona it was not unusual for AZ to have both the lowest and highest temperature on the same day for the whole country.

Beware of the mother, you might be able to pet it, but if the mom is nearby ...

I knew it wasn't all desert Norma and I figured you got to see fall colours but not as much as we do. What I didn't know and thanks for telling me is about the highest and lowest on the same day. That's kind of amazing. :)

Yes I was careful of the mother Jota, but I kind of was hoping she or the father would come out just so I could see how big they were standing up. :)

Loved the puzzle...and I can vouch for Arizona having extremes of temperature. The August we took our youngest son to college(ASU),we settled him in and left for Flagstaff, Arizona the next day in 113 degree heat! I was pretty worried when I read our resort had no air conditioning. I needn't have worried. The mountain air was cool enough that we almost turned on the gas fireplace!

Thx JoDeen. The last few days here in New Brunswick it has been nice and sunny and warm during the day then very cold at night and we have to scrape the frost off the windshield in the morning. :)

I saw the pictures on facebook and this puzzle looks just like him. The colours were spectacular when we were in New Brunswick but not quite at their peak. Ours are all but done here in Ontario
