thanks for the hint, wombat! truth is, there are several ways to solve this one, and lots to see. esp those sneaky dots...el is inevitable though. it's on all 4 sides. if you play the el on multiple sides, you can place that 6 in the bottom row completely. I know you enjoyed this puzzle, and I'm glad for it! :)

So nice to see a bahabro puzzle. I had accidental help. I made an error which activated the red dot and gave me a good placement clue.
