Puzzle Description:

This is the logo for our community newspaper The Blackfly Gazette. I discovered this paper when I took Niki to this new restaurant that opened. I had to use the bathroom and I grabbed this paper to have some reading material. I thought the paper was free only to realize once I got home that they cost $2.21+tax. I've been waiting anxiously for the RCMP to come knocking at my door. I will be going back to the restaurant soon(the food was wonderful)to pay for the paper.

OMG Gross! I googled it!

Black flies have got to be the worst plague ever to descend upon mankind! I get bitten by every nasty bug that exists, but I have never encountered any bites that swell and itch as bad as black flies!

Thx Jota. yeah their not a particularly attractive bug. :)

Thx Belita. I'm not sure where you live but here in the country the blackflies are brutal. Fortunately for me,I get bit but they don't affect me too bad. No such luck for the rest of our gang. Niki is tormented by them. :)

I have a scars on my legs from black flies that tormented us during a canoe/camping trip in the Adirondack's years ago. To this day, I can remember the sound of them hitting against the tent, searching for a way in. The only place we were safe from those horrible insects was the middle of the lake.

BTW, that was a very tough puzzle!!

Okay, I guess I can see that. At first I thought it'd be a horse, then a centaur, then the family dog (with a big, blue tongue). :)
