Ok, so no frozen potato, no boiling the pliers, and no boiling head. Just pulled it out. Ouch!

The early settlers must have endured terrible pain from tooth aches. It would take a lot of courage to start a trek westward with usually with no dentist. And think of the poor kids. Their teeth must have been really bad without proper diet along the way.

I came from a very big and poor family upbringing Norma. My parents were not very diligent about their children's dental health. When I started working and got engaged to be married,I arranged to have all my teeth removed surgically and wear dentures so that I could smile for my wedding pictures. :)
