I LOVE Justin Trudeau! His dad was pretty hip back in the day, too.

Thx gang.It wouldn't matter who is President of the U.S.,they wouldn't be able to do this without a lot of security. Justin is a cool dude and I'm sure he took some flack for supporting the gay rights movement, but give him credit for doing it. His father Pierre Elliot Trudeau was also a cool dude and perhaps the best and most intelligent Prime Minister we ever had.

The story of Gord Downie is truly a sad one. I admire his strength for going on a strenuous world tour for one last time before he dies. Seeing him with Justin, you can see how the cancer has aged him. Two great Canadian men standing face to face, holding hands in admiration of each other makes me proud to be a part of this great country. :)

Did you watch the concert Al? There were over 20,000 people watching the concert on a big screen in the market square and even more like me watching at home. A loud group across the lake had the volume turned up so loud that I felt I was at an outdoor concert. Sad evening but really proud to be Canadian and even prouder to have grown up in Kingston.

No Susan I didn't get to watch it but Niki and I were listening to it on CBC radio and later caught a bit on You Tube. I was touched by the way Gord and Justin looked at each other when they held hands. You could see the mutual respect they have for each other. I also felt like I could see some resignation on Gord's face and a look of being at peace with his fate. Sadly another great Canadian that will leave us way too early. Like John Candy. Amazingly two other great Canadian artist are still touring. Gordon Lightfoot and Leonard Cohen. You have a definite right to feel proud to be a native of Kingston Susan. :)
