Puzzle Description:

When I put Destyny to bed at night,I read her a story then sing three songs to her. One night she asked me to make up a song for her. From that night on I wracked my brain trying to make up lyrics sung to the tune of "Go to sleep little baby". I changed the word baby for her name Destyny. I finally came up with lyrics that told a story about Daddy taking her and Chastydy to a park to play, then going out for lunch and an ice cream, then going home to watch T.V. and then go to sleep. Destyny loved this story very much to the point that she asked me if it could come true. I told her that after Paytyn was born I promise I will make it come true. Yesterday I kept my promise. We took the kids to a nice playground, then we drove to Woodstock to take them to McDonalds and then to Dairy Queen for an ice cream. After that we went to Nackawic where the worlds largest axe is stationed at a beautiful park with a small beach and fabulous scenery of the river and mountains. That's what this image is of. The blue is the river in the background with a duck swimming. The girls loved the ducks and the axe. So did the boys. It was a wonderful day well spent.

What a wonderful way to spend the day. When my kids were swmall we used to drive around just to look at things and stop somewhere for ice cream after. Every time I look up a place in New Brunswick I marvel at the beautiful scenery. Wouldn't want the winters, though.

What fun! The children will remember this day for a long time.

This is something Destyny will remember forever. First the song and then making it come true. She is very lucky to have a Daddy like you. I hope you keep singing the song to help her remember the wonderful day.

Danger, danger Will Robinson!!! Once you start making up words, it can become a regular occurrence. Our son used to always want his nightly story (The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf) and once when my wife got tired of the same story each night, she tried changing the words a bit (The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Thundercloud). That was his new every night story for a few months, and then he wanted it changed again. Eventually, it had to be a new "Big Bad X" with a different X every night. Often, he would choose the "X" and we'd have to make up a new story with no warning at all. We made up a couple of stories and taped them to get babysitters off the creativity hook, we didn't want to scare them from ever coming back. Eventually, this faded when picture books turned to chapter books and he wanted to be read to every night from the current book. He still reads all the time (on his Kindle) as he travels to/from work and every other opportunity - so there can be a life-long legacy from these early activities.

Oh man! I wish I had known that you were going to be in the area!! You were only about 1300 miles from my place...I would have bought your ice cream. Let me know next time you are in the neighborhood!

Thank you aunties and uncles.

yes winters can be tough here auntie Norma but to me it's worth it. Things have changed since your kids were young auntie Norma. Kids don't look out the windows anymore to enjoy scenery(Destyny and Chastydy do sometimes). The boys have their heads down looking at their I-Pods. The girls watch their I-Pads or the onboard dvd player. Niki usually is on her I-Pad and\or her I-Pod. Dad loves looking at the scenery. Sometimes I tell them all electronics stay home and they're forced to look at the scenery. :)

My son Brad and daughter Aimée have fond memories of Dad and his nephew(also best friend)Rick would take them for a walk on a cold New Years eve night, banging pots and wishing everyone a Happy New Year. :)

What a great story John and thanks for the heads up. :)

So where exactly are you uncle David? Thirteen hundred miles is still a bit of a distance to travel but it would be worth it to get an ice cream cone from uncle David. As long as it's at least a 2 scooper. :)

Oh man what a great story, and puzzle. At first, I thought, that doesn't look like Destyny. Then as I read your story, the image just popped! So cool.

Perlwolf, that's a super story too. I'll bet that Big Bad X creativity kept your brain active and healthy and was probably good for your son too. I'll also bet he will carry on the tradition when he has kids of his own.

David, you are funny. I'll bet you make your kids laugh all the time.

When my son was just a toddler he loved A & W Root Beer and knew when we were getting close to the drive in. He asked, "Can we stop and get a root beer? It's only a couple of furthers away."

Wonderful story Al and I have seen the world's largest axe. I am headed your way at the end of September. We have rented a cottage at Pugwash and then will make our way to Miramachi to see my uncle. Going to eat lots of seafood. Can't wait
#20: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Aug 26, 2016
Very cool Susan. Don't you think that is such a beautiful view of the river and mountains from where the axe is? How I would love to live in one of those homes backing onto the river. The drive along route # 105 from Woodstock to Nackawic,Lower Queensbury,Upper Queensbury and then on to Mactaquac is full of beautiful homes and wonderful scenery. If you have the time and feel like you would like to stop by to see the girls Susan, you are very welcome to. If you don't have the opportunity or just aren't the type to do that, don't worry I understand. :)
#21: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Aug 27, 2016
I would love to do that Al but I am traveling with my dad and two of cousins so may not work out. Since we will be taking the Renous Highway home we will be almost driving by your door.
#22: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Aug 27, 2016
Yeah you'll be 5 minutes away from me. I understand Susan. Maybe some other time. Who knows maybe I'll be in Plaster Rock when you drive thru and we'll bump heads.lol. :)
#23: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Oct 8, 2016
Hi Al, Turns out we didn't make it to Plaster Rock after all. We stopped to visit my uncle in Mirimichi and drove to Bathurst and across up there. Had a nice time and ate lots of lobster.
