Puzzle Description:

There was no shower in the tiny little bathroom with barely enough room to turn around in. I never saw the shower room where they took the residents because they were supposed to order a plastic sleeve to protect the big bulky brace I had on my arm, but it never materialized. The brace I had on my arm was one of those blue canvas looking contraptions with Velcro closures and a hinge at the elbow. Although my roommate was wheeled daily to her shower, I had to fend for myself, using my left had to try to give myself a sponge bath in the tiny space while trying not to bang my arm on the walls.

When I broke my leg (idiotically trying to win a ski race at 52), I had it pretty easy compared to you, Norma. Private room in an orthopedic surgery suite.

Kudos to you for trying Tom K. Sorry you broke your leg, though. You lucked out with your room.

Insurances, have to hate them.

Yikes!

The hospital probably got a kickback from the nursing home for dumping their medicare patients on them. Plus the insurance co. was OK with it because the nursing home was cheaper. I have different insurance now.

Health insurance is the worse. If you ever have mental health problems, you are crazier after dealing with the insurance company than you were in the first place.

Good Job Norma of showing the tiny space and still keeping it realistic.

I am glad you came through it all and are able to laugh a bit about it now. It does make for some interesting puzzles, though.

Thank you Vesta. I'm having fun with the puzzles.

These things are almost beyond comprehension. I'm glad your a tough cookie Norma. :)
#13: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Aug 22, 2016
Thank you, Aldege. Growing up as the youngest of six kid and frequently too young to join in with what they were doing, I learned to fend for myself. :)

I learned more than I ever wanted to know about nursing homes.
