(A)cross the Pacific
#3: Ron Jacobson (shmily999) on Jul 19, 2016
I would agree with #2.
#4: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
It's a famous movie--I bet you've seen it
#5: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
LIberties were taken with capitalization

Hang in there, you'll get it soon
#6: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 19, 2016
I don't think so. Giving up.
#7: Jill Tallmer (yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
Even with the hint in the title?
#8: Amy King (Angel-KT7) on Jul 19, 2016
Ship [A]Hoy?

I know a hoy is a type of ship... lol I'm probably wrong.
#9: Jill Tallmer (yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
I'm not asking for the moon--just for someone to solve this little puzzle.
#10: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 19, 2016
This is why, to avoid a stalemate like this, I showed the title of the movies less the dropped letter in the first comment. This way people could ponder the answer as long as short as they cared to, then go to the first comment for a broad hint or to confirm that they had guessed corredtly. On one of your puzzles I went to a site that listed over 3,000 titles! No way am I going to look for a needle in that haystack, :)
#11: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
I don't understand--all of my droplet puzzles are famous movies. If you go to 1942 movies, this one is in the top dozen. Also, I put a huge hint in the title and another in the comments. You could Google either hint and get the movie title.

I've been putting the year in the description. The puzzles themselves are exceptionally easy to solve, so the year is a hint for guessing the movie.

Sometimes the correct SPOILER comment is not hidden. Sometimes an incorrect guess (such as Amy's above) is hidden as a "SPOILER"--can I as the creator manage which comments are listed as SPOILER?

You have it! Bravo! What a relief!
Check out the thing in the corner.
#14: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 19, 2016
I have no idea what the thing in the corner is. It looks like a bird but you said it's not a bird. ????
#15: Jill Tallmer (yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
it's an arrow
#16: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 19, 2016
I don't get it.Why an arrow? Can't see the connection.
#17: Jill Tallmer (yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
where is it pointing?
#18: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 19, 2016
Can we just drop the guessing games and explain what letter you dropped?
#19: Jill Tallmer (yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
o
#20: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 19, 2016
If you were indicating a direction you should have included a compass of some kind.
#21: Jill Tallmer (yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
yes, making and guessing this compact puzzle requires a leap of faith and flexibility as to capitalization. perhaps a larger board would have made the joke clearer. I'm happier with the little ones. thank you for persevering. there's a ring of hell reserved for people who make puzzles that no one solves.

So, it's supposed to be NW Voyager? And no, I've never seen it, not heard of it or the 2 cigarettes. :(
#23: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
That's it! I've seen it several times. It's one of Bette Davis's most popular films, even though the storyline is (typically) icky toward women.

It was considered a very sexy scene for it's time.

JT have you noticed how Aldege very politely and very obligingly chimes in with the answer if no one guesses his puzzles after a decent interval? No ring of hell for him. Just a big pat on the back for knowing when to cave.
#26: Jill Tallmer (yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
I was shocked that anyone got my #8, and this #10 seemed infinitely easier. Go know.
#27: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jul 19, 2016
I haven't seen too many Bette Davis movies. (I did do a puzzle of her, from when she was super young.)
I've seen All About Eve, and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
#28: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Jul 19, 2016
I wouldn't mind taking a whack at that puzzle. What number is it?
#29: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Jul 21, 2016
21225. It's really small and simple. Also try 21226 and 21228.
#30: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Jul 22, 2016
Okay, here I go
#31: Carolyn Starkweather (starkie1) on Jul 23, 2016
I hope to see more puzzles from you JT. I rather like the challenge and I like being forced to think about the answer. I'm often late in doing the puzzles, so the one time I was able to post the correct answer before anyone else gave my cleverness ego a boost.
#32: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Jul 25, 2016
Thank you Starkie!
