The more the merrier! I miss the WCP contests because it was fun to see what everyone would come up with using the same theme. There was talk of reviving it, but I haven't heard anything more.

Who has to make the decision to restart the WCP and make it happen. It it Valerie, or is it Joe or Sensei or Jota. I'm sure a lot of us would love to have WCP back including myself. However WCP takes work and time and someone has to be willing and able to do this. Hopefully the people responsible for the creation of WCP will be willing to resurrect it. It did bring some great puzzles and comments for us to enjoy. :)

good honest fun puzzle

Jota said she was waiting on Tom. I know I miss the WCP. Maybe they just need some suggestions for themes. I remember when they seemed to be having trouble coming up with ideas that people liked that several people made some excellent suggestions.

Jota and Tom O'Connell were the judges so we would have to start with them.

How did it work?

Click on the honors button on the left and that will explain it. You have to create a puzzle according to the rules set down for each contest. You can click on past winners to see who won.

Also, keep in mind that the programming for the contest is dependent on the database, and it might not be able to just be picked up again with the missing chunk of data. All depends on what Valerie knows about how it was programmed. And of course, how Jota and Tom feel about keeping it going. It's a huge commitment.

Did Jota and Tom solve all the submitted puzzles? wow.

Not a lot of people submitted puzzles so not an awful lot to solve plus it started out as weekly but then changed to several weeks to submit a puzzle. so on any given day there might be only one submission.

I would volunteer to help run and/or adjudicate contests, but can't manage anything over around 25 x 25 because I'm on an iPad...

Sorry sorry! I was away! I'll contact Tom right away and resurrect the WCP!

Al can you please help me remembering the theme you proposed?

Maybe we could all pitch in with some ideas.
