I read about that battle in the paper this morning. It was 100 years ago today. The crater is still there, where the English tunneled under the ground and blew up the German trenches. But not many of the Germans were killed, and it left the English as sitting ducks. The paper didn't mention the Canadian regiment, but it makes sense they would be with the English.
