My heart goes out to you. Been there, done that. Great puzzle. I know you're in there some where. :)
#2: Donna McFarland (jade8114) on Jun 12, 2016
Can't do grass (allergies), but I love the puzzle.
#3: teresa dickens (trdickens2) on Jun 12, 2016
I hope it won't be for the whole summer!
#4: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 12, 2016
Thx girls. I can't afford to fix it right now so it may be all summer. :)
#5: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on Jun 12, 2016
:(
#6: Belita (belita) on Jun 12, 2016
Get a goat.
#7: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jun 12, 2016
I think the riding mower already got his goat. :)
#8: Kathy Cain (kathy cain) on Jun 12, 2016
Just think about it is making my skin itch and my eyes water.
#9: Jota (jota) on Jun 13, 2016
Poor Al!
#10: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 13, 2016
Thx again girls for your comments. Someone mentioned a goat before,I think it was Kristen.

That's funny Norma.

You don't have time to worry about the tall grass making you itch Kathy because your too busy swatting the black flies and horse flies. They are brutal this time of year. :)
#11: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jun 13, 2016
Quite possibly. :) Get a nanny goat, and you can also use her milk to make cheese and soap. A sheep would also be good, as you can use the wool to knit sweaters (or sell, in exchange for money--for sweaters).
#12: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 13, 2016
Don't forget about the manure Kristen. There are a lot of farms around here and sheep manure is suppose to be one of the best. This is starting to sound like a wise venture. Anyone want to invest in it and we'll become a corporation? :)
#13: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Jun 13, 2016
Can I send You a scissor? :)
#14: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 13, 2016
For the ribbon cutting ceremony? Sure Thomas. :)
#15: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Jun 14, 2016
Can't you just ask the super to take care of it?
#16: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 14, 2016
I've asked him many times JT but he's one of those lazy so & so's that sits around drinking coffee all day and flirting with the females. :)

Thx Brian. I've never eaten barbecue goat before. Is it good and if it's a nanny do you leave the milk in and use it as a marinade or do you milk it and make smoothies for dessert? :)
#19: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jun 14, 2016
I've actually only eaten goat a couple of times at Mexican restaurants. It was delicious.
#20: Belita (belita) on Jun 14, 2016
After the goat cuts your grass for you, you can't eat her! Better yet get an alpaca and send me the wool.
#21: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 15, 2016
Sounds good Belita but will you knit us all sweaters? It gets real cold here in New Brunswick, and are Alpaca's good to eat? :)

You may NOT eat the alpacas! You send me the wool and I'll knit you the sweaters.
#24: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 15, 2016
Thx Teresa. Keep laughing. Don't feel bad for me. I do it in stages so I don't over exert myself. I don't stress too much about it either. I have better things to worry about, like how am I going to fit this alpaca on my barbecue. Maybe Sgusa has some ideas on this. I do like your idea on the lottery tickets though. Johnn Deere has a real nice diesel riding mower with a scoop and snowblower attachment. It's only 14k to buy. Depending on how much you win that should be attainable don't you think? :)
#25: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 15, 2016
OK Belita I get it. Alpaca's are not to be eaten. You do realize I was going to remove the wool first and send it to you before barbecuing it right? Anyway I promise I won't eat it. A nice tartan plaid sweater, size old fat guy would be great,or maybe one with the New Brunswick flag knitted into it. I'll send the wool to you via Canada Post. I hear Alpaca's have a good appetite and I won't be able to afford UPS. :)
#26: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jun 16, 2016
how much to fix it?
#27: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Jun 16, 2016
Funny comments everyone. Good luck with grass cutting Al
#28: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 16, 2016
I'm not sure Sensei buddy. I;m trying to fix it myself. The belt tension pulley was bent and I straightened it out. The blades turn now but it doesn't cut the grass. I need more tension on the belt cause it's slipping. I'm gonna try a new belt and see if that helps. I know why your asking pal and I appreciate the thought but I'm sure I'll fix it. Your a good friend. :)
#29: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 16, 2016
Thx Susan. I'm sure this sheep, goat and alpaca venture is gonna take off and instead off being waist deep in grass I'll be swimming in the other green stuff. :)
#30: valerie o..travis (bigblue) on Jun 16, 2016
aldege, tom's right, we've helped friends here in the past :)
#31: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jun 16, 2016
I know Travis,I remember when we did and it felt great doing it,however I'm not that bad off that I need help from my friends right now. I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness though and if I do need help down the road it's nice to know I have friends here on WEBPBN that would band together for me. Just another sign of the great kinship in this community. You guys are the best. :)

I love this community. I love our community. Sometimes I just marvel at the story told on this site.

...all because of Jan's initial idea...and the fact that he carried through with it.

...of course, if it wasn't for Valerie and the rest of you exceptional individuals, sharing your expertise...none of this could have happened either.

We, all together, are a living entity. For me, we are a special little piece of magic...a place of refuge and hope. That's its especial charm...this place is whatever we need it to be for each person...according to the need of each, at a particular moment in time. How lovely...and how rare.
#33: Belita (belita) on Dec 21, 2022
I miss Aldege. He was such a character! I hope he's doing okay.
