I was solving puzzle 13112, and had mostly the bottom and the right side filled in. I needed to save it to work on later, but when I hit the "save" button, it immediately filled in every blank square with spaces, and put a message underneath the description that said, "You solved an older version of this puzzle."#2: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Apr 10, 2011
Well, even if I did, I wanted to solve this one, but there's no way to know what the earlier puzzle was. And I'm not sure there's an earlier version, because this is a WCP #81 entry.
What gives?
I've had that happen once. I figured I had clicked the wrong button.#3: Gator (Gator) on Apr 10, 2011
I believe this only happens when there are multiple versions of a puzzle. It has happened to me many times before.#4: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Apr 11, 2011
I could be mistaken, but I believe loading the saved puzzle back up will get rid of the added dots.
when that happens to me, i click back arrow, but it does save and the fill in dots goes away including the red dots
