Arkham Horror takes place in a small town in New England during prohibition. As in any small town in New England of that era, the Great Old Ones (Cthulu et. al.) are attempting to break through. (At least according to H. P. Lovecraft, and who are we to doubt him? :-) ) In Arkham Horror, you are one of a team of "investigators", whose job is to prevent the Great Old Ones from breaking through, at least this week.#5: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on May 30, 2016
Probably my second most favorite cooperative game.
Cthulhu is an invention of author H.P. Lovecraft, who wrote in the 1920s. He is, arguably, the father of modern horror. Stephen King would be nothing, without Lovecraft paving the way. :)#6: RB (rb2013) on Jan 29, 2022 [HINT]
