I had an internet hiccup right when I was trying to post my hint, but I'll do my best to recreate it.#4: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jun 9, 2024 [HINT]
Initial LL gets to 58%.
C17: If the first 3 goes into R23, it makes R20 invalid, so R23C17 is white. LL.
C21: If the 5 goes into R22, it makes C22 invalid, so R22C21 is white. LL.
C30: EL marks R2-3 black. LL.
C28: EL prevents the first 2 from being placed in R3-4. From there, R23C28 must be black.
R22: If C28 is white, C27 would also be white, and R18 would be made invalid. Therefore R22C28 must be black.
C30: Whether the 5 goes into R1 or R6, R6C29 is black.
LL to finish.
Line logic only. Resolved just to make sure. At the 58% mark I spotted one of the trickier to find LL moves. It was relatively straightforward LL after this move:#5: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jun 9, 2024
- the black in C26R11 can only be part of the first three clue numbers, and any of them results in a dot in C26R13
Wonderful challenge!
Found to be solvable by line logic alone by dbouldin.
