Interestingly, this comes up when you search for monochrome puzzles. That is because "monochrome" puzzles actually have two colors -- the foreground color and the background color, which is usually white/dotted.#6: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Oct 6, 2022
I guess Jan either didn't think of people making "puzzles" with no background (which are not puzzles at all), or realized it, but didn't care enough to separate out these edge cases.
I always thought it would be funny if the site detected these and replaced the word "Puzzle" in the title with "Nonpuzzle." More trouble than it's worth, I'm sure. I would've laughed...but I'm an edge case myself.
