In physics you subscribe a zero to indicate the position of an object at zero time. In 2d they are given as x naught and y naught.

I don't get the image. It looks like a red cannon ball, not a cannon? I don't know what the other shapes are either.

It is a green cannon barrel made mobile by the red wheels. This image is just as the black cannonball leaves the muzzle of the cannon.
