I am not sure that this puzzle was restored correctly.

It solves reasonably well and gives a nice looking picture, even if I don't know what's depicted.

Looking at it again, I think it *is* restored correctly. The middle of the puzzle is a horse, seen from the side, with its head to the left and its mane flying behind its head, and its tail to our right. There's a jockey on top of the horse, sort of standing and hunched forward. I am not sure what is in front of the horse. Maybe a flower, or a set of compass directions?
