ditto Jota. The British Open is one of my favourite Major Tournaments.Watson was great, but my favourite golfer was Hubert Green, and then Ben Crenshaw.:)

You're sure this isn't Wentworth Purfoil, croquet champion of Witch Island?
#5: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 19, 2014
Thanks, Aldege.
Sadly, Wentworth missed the cut.

anyone having trouble with puzz's saving after solving?
#7: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jul 19, 2014
nice puzz, N...a nice tribute to a fellow Missourian :)
#8: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 19, 2014
Thanks, Kurt (The saving problem is back)

I have admired and respected many golfers over the years, but what tipped the scales in favor of Tom Watson is when he almost won this meet in 2009, but lost in sudden death, and for the last two years he has been the oldest player to make the cut. 156 started, only 72 made the cut. Not bad.

I can't save right now, but the mouseover dropdown menu still works. Click "Rate Puzzle", then "Mark puzzle as solved".
#10: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Jul 19, 2014
Kristen, there's "Mark puzzle as completed". You can click it but your solution will be lost. You won't get back when bug will repaired. You won't see as unsolved...
Better idea?
:)

I've been solving puzzles, then using the dropdown menu to mark it as solved. Forgive me if I remembered the wording incorrectly.

I don't precisely understand you, but I don't mind if my solution isn't saved. I just want the puzzle off of my "unsolved" list, when I'm looking for new puzzles.

Nice Norma. I grew up a few blocks from where Tom Watson lived in Kansas City. He's a great guy.
#13: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jul 21, 2014
Thank you, Claire. He's so much more than a pro golfer.

He's putting on a hole next to the ocean. The green is what they call the rough which surrounds the green and beyond that is the blue of the ocean.
