Beatles - (They Say It's Your) Birthday or Happy Happy Birthday Baby = The Tune Weavers, but I think that's late 50's. Oh, with four blue legos.
#2: Richard Coderre (chiefsox) on Jun 25, 2014
The blue "legos" are the key. Close for the first try.
And more obscure than the Beatles.

Cake? - LE(t me )GO?
#4: Al LaPointe (kancamagus) on Jun 25, 2014
Seasons in the Sun? (someone left the cake out in the rain...)
#5: Richard Coderre (chiefsox) on Jun 25, 2014
I is a Cake - Yes. But not the band Cake. Now what are the blue legos?
#6: Richard Coderre (chiefsox) on Jun 25, 2014
Al you got it. Someone left the cake out in the rain by MacArthur Park.
#7: Al LaPointe (kancamagus) on Jun 25, 2014
oops - looks like i conflated 2 different songs there lol
#8: Gary Webster (glwebste) on Jun 26, 2014 [SPOILER]
Urg! I am obscure and love the late 60s, and I am still confused. It's not Elvis' "Blue Christmas" because it's not Christmas (and that's late 50s anyway). Is it Steppenwolf's "Happy Birthday?"
#9: Jota (jota) on Jun 26, 2014
so it is raining up?
#10: Synthia McBride (synthia) on Jun 26, 2014 [SPOILER]
Okay: MacArthur Park, sung by Richard Harris, written by Jimmy Webb.

Has some of the silliest lyrics ever written:

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again, oh noooooo.

AND I loved the song when I was 13 years old. LOL

BTW, this is the same Richard Harris that was the first Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies

No clue but cute festive picture
#12: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jun 27, 2014
Weird Al did a parody of this song, called Jurassic Park. Far superior lyrics, but with all of the schmaltzy melody left in. :)
