anyhoo, I did a search on the top 100 songs of 1970. not sure what the puzz depicts, but I did get to see a few names from the past that I forgot about....one in particular struck me, and the voice the singer had. I know we had the "fuzzy" band thing, but who do you think claims the top voice?

an article I read recently thought Axl Rose, and I said "whaaaat?" my vote is for Karen Carpenter. their music, blase blah. her voice, wow! I'm a huge fan of Chrissy Hynde also...for a guy, James Taylor is always good the morning after a long night(or in my case, a hangover)

I'll round it out for a top 5 and add Tommy Shaw and Brad Delp to the list. Other notables being Jon Anderson, Michael McDonald, Christie McVie, Dido, and Sarah MacLachlan

A lot of the names are familiar but their voices aren't. Except for Jon Anderson who had a very distinctive sound.

I saw Jon Anderson and Yes in the 90's...same voice as the albums I played, but so surprised to see the body it came from. he was a bit overweight with hair down to his butt in a ponytail. not at all what I expected(having never seen a pic of the man before), but it really was one of the best concerts I've ever been to

Chris Squire held the title of best bass guitarist for many years and Rick Wakeman went on to a prodigious career.
