lol kurt#3: Susan Nagy (susannagy54) on May 30, 2014
I say it's a she, because trees generally don't have two "legs".#4: Norma Dee (norm0908) on May 30, 2014
Maybe lightning struck it?#5: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on May 30, 2014 [SPOILER]
It is a tree. It is a stylistic representation of Romulus and Remus. The top third is the tree's canopy. The middle section is a representation of the abandoned twins, having been dumped out of their basket boat, coming to rest within the tree's embrace on the river bank. The lower third represents both the base of the tree and the river currents that brought the boys to rest there. Soon a she wolf will find and save them.#6: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on May 30, 2014 [SPOILER]

I love logging on and seeing new puzzles by my favorite puzzle makers. I give everyone a try (usually several tries as they find their way)...but there's nothing like biting into a fresh puzzle created by the ones of you who really get it!
I like Norma's suggestion. There is, or used to be, a tree in Sequoia National Forest (I think) that you could drive through. I don't know if it had been struck by lightning, but somehow the inside had burned out, leaving it hollow. I think there even used to be a small gift shop inside it.#9: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on May 31, 2014
