Very nice compass. Architect or engineer.
#3: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on May 20, 2014 [SPOILER]
all of those use em, but not the particular profession I had in mind...(it's a compass and another tool..)
#4: Ellen Vollor (evollor) on May 20, 2014 [SPOILER]
A mariner? A drafting student?
#5: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on May 20, 2014
both good guesses and use these 2, Ellen, but not the specific group I had in mind....If I drew it how they do, it'd be a dead give-away(and you'd see a letter)

Freemasonry ?
#7: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on May 20, 2014 [SPOILER]
righto! give the man a prize! nice guess, trav...

not really the tools I think of for a mason while he's working, but you say "square and compass", and you can't help but think "masons". a lil sneaky of me there, but really those 2 items are used by so so many fields(all that were named, and then a host of others besides)

in case you're not familiar with it, here's the symbol for the freemasons...

I won't stand for ridicule.

I'm much too lazy for that much standing.
