Puzzle Description:

In memory of SPC Tenzin L. Samten, SPC Dustin C. Jackson, and Staff Sgt Juantrea T. Bradley.

I was able to leverage the alternating 4/1 clues in C1-6 and the 1/5/1 in C48-50 to eliminate a bunch of possibilities in those columns. (Everything in R1-32 can be eliminated for C1, 3, 5, and 49, plus a few more.) I think I eventually had to do some similar work with the 5 clue in R45. Once you've eliminated the possibilities that cause contradiction in the 1-clue columns, the rest solves with line logic.

AWESOME! Thanks to all who served and their loved ones who also sacrifice...

I did use moderate lookahead (edge and internal-edge logic) but I'm not certain it was necessary. There was definitely no guessing required.

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by wombatilim.
