4:20. The time to smoke pot. Why is this the time? Because 4:00 is shift change for most police departments, and at 4:20 the one shift is headed home and the other is still in roll call. *sigh* I shouldn't know this. I have no reason to know this. Except that I hang out with too many cops. :D

Thanks for the "heads up" info, Deana. (And I can think of many worse things to do than hang out with police- my youngest son was an M.P. in the Marines. Tough job; shunned by some, hated by others, but needed by all of us.) And as long as I'm typing- thanks to your husband for the work he has chosen to do, another difficult but badly-needed career.

This was fun to do-my teenagers would walk by-do a double take and say MOM! According to the urban myths it is either the police code for pot or the time a High School in California got out and thats what the kid did then.

Hey, I'm one of those California kids, & I didn't do that!
but I sure knew a lot of kids that did, but they didn't wait for school to get out, they went into the orange groves at the back of the school while school was still in session (they were called "the stoners")

Thats what I was thinking. Back in my day the kids wouldn't wait until after school. ( a midwest catholic school)

Nice puzzle, i would have put the 2 in front of the leaf, accorrding to snopes, its the time some highschoolers in Cali met up.

The kids at my school didn't wait for school to get out either. At least not to smoke...to deal, yes.

It looks as if it will be an interesting image, but I just got tired of having to move the screen up-and-down. It became tedious. I think it would have been a much more enjoyable puzzle if it were a little smaller. So far it doesn't seem to be an image that needs this large of a space.
