I never heard the White Album until I was 16, but many of the songs sounded eerily familiar when I heard them. It wasn't until a year later when I played one of my dad's records, "Mother Nature's Son" by Ramsey Lewis, that I realized why. He recorded jazzy instrumental versions of 10 songs from the White Album. I had heard these songs all my life, just not sung my the Beatles. Here is his arrangement of "Cry Baby Cry."

Great image. I'd kind of forgotten about him.

I actually shared one of his songs once before, in #17123. That one was co-written with Earth, Wind, and Fire.
