Puzzle Description:

Jen, I hope you like this, the picture was fuzzy so I had to guess at part of your features (sorry) By the way..you have beautiful eyes!

#1: Jen (lightvader) on Mar 15, 2008 [SPOILER]

Not bad considering the picture I sent you. The features are close enough for me to be happy.

And thank you, I get my eyes from my father. All my siblings do. :)

I'm glad your happy with it!
...tell your dad he has beautiful eyes for me!
BTW..my sons here for a visit, mind if I show him your picture?

Not at all.
#4: Gypso (Gypso) on Mar 17, 2008 [SPOILER]
You are so lovely LV! Your eyes remind me of Judy Garland. So very pretty. What color?

Thank you once again Naneki for bringing us another face to see from our community. oxox
#5: Jen (lightvader) on Mar 18, 2008 [SPOILER]
Mostly green with little bits of yellow scattered in. I think the official term would be Hazel.
#6: Gypso (Gypso) on Mar 18, 2008
Wow! That sounds beautiful. :)
#7: Jen (lightvader) on Mar 19, 2008
Thank you! :)

I too thought of Judy Garland...or rather, Dorothy, when I saw this. Very pretty.
#9: Jen (LightVader) on Sep 14, 2008
Thank you.

This is probably a great image, but it is just too large. I gave up because of the constant need to shift the screen up and down.

LL until you can't get by with just that anymore.

Internal EL in R52 narrows the 8 clue to being between C18-34. More IEL in R51 gives you a blank/dot in C15. In fact, IEL clears all from R50 C15 up to R46 C15.

LL gets you a little farther.

I will add more updates as I continue to solve. Taking a break for now.
#12: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 3, 2017 [HINT]
Continuing from where I left off, I found a contradiction that allows us to continue. If you fill in R26C11 with a blank/dot, LL causes R28 and R29 to be invalidated because the 9 and 7 clues are split, and they can't be. Backtracking to R26C11, it, therefore, must be black. LL continues until the next block in the road.

Further, if R29 C19-25 are filled in with black, it creates a contradiction in R31C25. So R29 C19-25 must be blank/dotted.

More contradictory logic: R29 C26-31, when black, invalidate R31C28. As a result, R29 C26-28 are blank/dotted.

Now that you can finally place some of the 6 in R29, LL solves most of the eye on the right, as well as her lips entirely.

Don't miss, by the way, that LL blanks out/dots R34C31.

Next part in the next comment.
#13: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 3, 2017 [HINT]
I'm breaking it up because I find that if I were reading this, it would be difficult to keep track of where I was when referring to these hints, so I'm putting in mile markers, so to speak.

Hints continuing, IEL on R44 C29-31 leaves behind a contradiction in R42. Therefore, R44 C29-31 are blank/dotted.

Testing the next 3-clue option leftward in R44, that is, C26-28, we find a contradiction at R43C21. As a result, we must mark R44C28 blank/dotted.

Trying R44 C25-27 gets me pretty far with no contradictions, so I'm going to try to rule out other options first. I feel that if I keep continuing, I'd be relying on a guess because it would require way too much lookahead.

Starting from the other direction and leaving out tedious over-explanations, we can use contradiction logic to rule out R44 C11-23 as possible spots for black squares. From this moment we can place a definitive black square at R44C26. Continue with LL to the finish.

Overall, another stunning portrait from Naneki.

I had to assume some symmetry, to get started on the features. Oh well.

nice but needs some reverts.
