Puzzle Description:

...Hank Aaron of the Atlanta Braves hits his 715th career home run in a game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, breaking Babe Ruth's record.

Good one. Looks like he might have broken a distance record on the hit too! :)

A completely wonderful puzzle which makes it so much fun to solve.
#3: Wombat (wombatilim) on Apr 8, 2014
Fantastic perspective :)
#4: Wombat (wombatilim) on Apr 8, 2014 [HINT]
Line and color logic can solve the black & blue on the left.
I used EL on the 9 to get a bunch of the red started.
EL on each of the black 6s on the right side of the puzzle can get you 4 blacks for each. Line & color logic gets you almost there.
Smile logic x2 to finish.

It's possible this can be solved without ALL of that edge logic, but when I'm doing color logic at the same time, they can tend to run together.

Awesome! Thanks!

Very well done Travis.Cool image:)
#7: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Apr 8, 2014 [HINT]
I did the black first, and that needed edge logic on all four 6s on the right. However, if you do EL on the red 9 in r1 first, then you'll only need it on three of the black 6s.

Otherwise, just as Wombat said.

Thanks, Travis. Having solved the left side and having all black and red left, I kept on thinking up 'till the last that it was going to be the birth of the Star Spangled Banner...even the baseball appeared to be a cannonball until finally the seams were discovered at the very, very last.

Great story. I really didn't understand the image until I read the story. I thought the ball was some kind of Indian shield. Nice use of color.
