Puzzle Description:

I promised a bonus, and here it is! I knew this could be difficult to draw, and doing it in this scale did lead to some compromises; namely, the rings are squares that don't actually link, the flags got slight modifications to ensure they are still recognizable, and I wanted the podium a different colour. More in the first comment.

It should be easy to guess why I ordered the flags the way I did, so I will simply say congratulations to Russia for taking home the most medals (gold AND total) in Sochi! Norway came 2nd and Canada came 3rd with the 10th gold in hockey on the final day of competition - though was still third over the U.S. even if it ended up being silver.

I wanted white around the "rings", but it said it might not be doable by line logic, so I kept it green.

And finally, I didn't want symmetrical people, hence the leg poses. I thought it would add character to the pikto people.

A fun note to add as a comment: all day long, #HardToTrashTalkSweden (started in Canada DURING THE GOLD MEDAL HOCKEY GAME THAT CANADA WON) and #HardToTrashTalkCanada (a response, obviously) started trending in opposite countries. It turned into a lovefest and tweets are still going through now as I type this more than 12 hours after the closing ceremonies themselves began. See http://globalnews.ca/news/1167892/canada-and-sweden-demonstrate-true-sportsmanship/ (which is itself driving more traffic to it). Someone even tweeted Ellen DeGeneres; I might watch her show tomorrow to see if she brings it up (and perhaps makes fun of Americans, who trended #F***YouCanada - uncensored - after losing in the semis).

There were a few fun jabs in there; namely, one that had a sheet of building directions, a couple of building supplies, and a homemade medal on top. See the article for what the text on the image is. It's a fun IKEA reference.
