Puzzle Description:

It's not uncommon to see broken down barns, and buckboards that once hauled wood, sitting abandoned covered in snow.

Thx Susan,I am so intrigued every time I see a broken down barn.I want to see what old treasures could be in there. Here in Odell N.B. there are many abandoned houses that are falling apart.I've ventured into a couple of them, and have seen wonderful old stoves, and metal beds, and old dressers. It's also a little dangerous, you never know when you might fall through a rotted floorboard,or staircase.:)

Memories from another era ... sad.
Nice solve and image! Thanks Al!
#9: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 16, 2014
Thx Jota and my pleasure. It is kind of sad,I often wonder what happened to make people leave their home. I know many of them grew old, their children moved to bigger cities where there is more employment opportunities, and some ended up in financial hardship and lost their homes to the bank or the government for unpaid taxes.:(

Wonderful puzzle. By comparison the western part of the U.S. is much younger, so we don't have really old historical sites except for Indian ruins.
#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Feb 18, 2014
Thx Norma,Indian ruins would be cool.:)
