This sport was born because French Canadian men couldn't play petanque in winter and women recognized that easier to sweep on ice than on snow! :)#3: Bryan (Cyclone) on Feb 9, 2014 [SPOILER]

Good job Bryan! Big sport around these parts - there are many curling clubs in the area but I have never been able to enjoy playing since I can't stand up on the ice :)#8: Bryan (Cyclone) on Feb 11, 2014 [SPOILER]

Great story Bryan. Kinda reminds me of the movie Men with Brooms.#10: Jota (jota ) on Feb 11, 2014
Good for you!#11: jewel crown (jewel) on Feb 13, 2014
Excellent paint-by-number. I love his stretch!#12: Bryan (Cyclone) on Feb 20, 2014
Throwing out there that Canada's Jennifer Jones has won gold in the women's event today. Brad Jacobs for the men tomorrow tries to do the same. If hockey didn't exist, curling would be the go-to Canadian sport.#13: Heather M (AuntieH) on Feb 20, 2014
Bryan -- The Canadian women have delivered their half of the double-double (hockey/curling men/women). Let's hope the men can come through too!#14: Bryan (Cyclone) on Feb 20, 2014
If hockey is anything like today's, I might be dead afterwards. If it ended with America winning, I was ready to concede they had the better game; the comeback and then win in OT just about killed me. Though I always say, "I wasn't even worried".#15: Jota (jota ) on Feb 21, 2014
It was intense!#16: Bryan (Cyclone) on Feb 21, 2014
That wasn't too bad. We led from the second and held on. Going to OT would have been tough.#17: Heather M (AuntieH) on Feb 21, 2014
Meanwhile, staying with the picto in this image: Canada also won the men's. Canada's moving up in the medal standings; one gold would put us right back at the top, I think.
Yup. We're 3/4 of the way to the double-double! We were 2nd in the medals briefly, but then speed-skating happened :( Oh well, we're still up there...#18: Bryan (Cyclone) on Feb 21, 2014
Hey, we led the medal count officially on the third day. I think in total and in gold. Then the Netherlands came to life. For now, I'd like to break 26 and try to get an 11th gold. Ranking will be of interest.#19: Heather M (AuntieH) on Feb 23, 2014
It's Official. Canada got the Double Double!#20: Bryan (Cyclone) on Feb 23, 2014
We didn't win the Olympics overall, however. It would be rude to pummel the hosts, after all. Though Norway also got ahead of us in the end. 3rd isn't bad, and we technically "won" Vancouver with our 15 gold. Watch out for Canada in 2018.
