Puzzle Description:

C'mon people. It would be nice if you checked your work and got rid of the question marks. Multiple solutions just aren't fun.

I agree.

Amen!
#3: Billie Patterson (bpat) on Feb 6, 2014
Thank you! I won't even try a puzzle with multiple solutions.
#4: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Feb 6, 2014
YW. I won't either.
#5: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Feb 7, 2014
yep, they should use the checker
#6: Synthia McBride (synthia) on Feb 7, 2014
I wish someone who published a puzzle with ????'s would comment on why he/she does not use the checker and "massage" his/her puzzle until they do work.

Ditto

sometimes if I can't get a puzzle to say "solvable by logic alone" after trying for a long time,I will go ahead and publish it,because I know there are some solvers out there who enjoy those types of puzzles. I try very hard not to put too many out there, but sometimes I will. I figure that those who don't like them won't try solving them, but I hope they will at least peek.:)

Aldege, you have more ?'s than I thought but they are for unique solutions with some guessing, not the heavy duty ?'s. But we know you and your style and know that your puzzles are always worth a try because the end result will be worth it.

I agree with Norma, Aldege. I don't count you in that group. And even before your explanation I was pretty sure that you "work" your puzzles to make them as "question-less" as possible. I avoid puzzles with multiple solutions, but I find that many puzzles without "logical" solutions (often the ones with light questions marks) are actually very easy to solve. And are worth doing.

Thx Norma,and Synthia.:)

Good use of color ... very clever. I agree - I like puzzles with a unique solution.

Thank you Ga. Sometimes we get a bunch of new puzzles makers from people with little or no experience. (Usually corresponding to when schools are taking a vacation.) They don't really know what they are doing and haven't read Jan's how to instructions and we get some poorly done puzzles.

I really enjoyed the interplay of red and black in the logic for solving this one. Fun!

Thank you, Valerie!
