Wow! Fantastic, Kurt. Not saying until what's his name guesses or does old what's his name really know? And just where is HIS puzzle??????
#3: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Jan 25, 2014
Yes, Kurt! Originally I thought "her", too, because you don't need to draw "her" eyes! This is 500... less, less, down, down ... (inverse auction) :)

Norma, you shut up here, pls... You should make quietly a puzzle of your old liberty-fellow and greatest friend of all American chauvins, Mr. ObL.
(Get out from here, pls...)

Thomas you are the one that needs to shut up. You and your pitiful attitude don't belong here. So good bye. Auf Wiedersehen. Sayonara. Have a nice life somewhere else.

Now it just looks like Thomas is playing favorites. He said in his forum thread (#447, comment 4) "I thought not for 'expressive' parts, like Chaplin's hat, Lennon's glasses, Lincoln's beard, etc., but realistic graphical faces."

#9: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jan 26, 2014
I'm not even gonna go where some people want or expect it to head....

but miss indigo is correct. I was going for Michael Jackson. good job!
#10: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jan 26, 2014
and hate to say it K, but it insinuates that this is not a graphical face...nose and mouth are kinda expressive, if even there are no eyes to see. Thomas may play favorites, but he made a call and I answered it. chill. as everyone else should

good one kurt :)
#12: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Jan 26, 2014
I got it from the lips, nose, glasses and curls - this is really good Kurt
#13: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Jan 26, 2014
Kurt, Jacko is a really good attempt. Should you make a puzzle (like this) with less than 500 squares?
Now I'm trying to make a 20x20 puzzle of a famous artist. Not to easy... I'm not so talented artist than You and didn't find yet the correct cut of his/her photo. But I will do! And then you will need to make a 19x19 (or less) for record holding! Go on! :)

I guessed MJ just after solving the bleu, the red and the top right corner!
Thanks Kurt!!
#18: Al LaPointe (kancamagus) on Jan 27, 2014

By the way, Kurt, I think this is an excellent portrait of latter-day Jacko.

I was just responding to Thomas's flighty criteria. I asked in his forum what constituted a recognizable portrait, and gave some examples of my own tiny portraits. He gave his response (quoted in comment 8), and then he negated his own definition by saying that this portrait, which contains "expressive parts" like sunglasses, was just what he was looking for.
#21: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 28, 2014
Can't trust that Thomas.
#22: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Feb 1, 2014
the sunglasses are so big that it'd be easy easy to substitute the real eyes instead. I've always maintained that a correct portrait starts with the eyes, then work out from there. it'd have been no less easy to make the same portrait, minus the glasses
