Okay... after learning some from the link you gave me, how do you translate that info to the pixel world we have here?

Practice, and use a photo for reference. I know that other folks (like Gitte and Naneki) have used grids over their photos. It can be revelatory to see just how different the actual angle is, compared to the one you just drew.

Try doing a bunch of those puzzles with a mixed-up drawing, and you copy the shapes grid by grid, until you end up with something surprisingly close to the original. The method I showed you is very similar. You break a drawing up into shapes and lines, rather than being faced with a large image to reproduce.
