Going to be a solve discussion on this one!

scorpio...whoa, i'll wait for the experts on this :)
#2: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 5, 2014
I agree with travis since the only other "m" looking one is Virgo and that was done already.
#3: Kurt Kowalczyk (bahabro) on Jan 5, 2014 [HINT]
both the 9 and the 8 can't go down to r13....ie, at the very least one must reach up to r5, making c4r5 a black. ll almost finishes from there (a lil smile at the end)

beware of limp necked giraffe up ahead.:)

You crack me up Al!
#6: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 5, 2014
LOL,thx Jota.:)
#7: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on Jan 5, 2014 [HINT]
I had to use T&E on the 4 in C15. Luckily I guessed right the first time.
#8: Bryan (Cyclone) on Jan 5, 2014 [HINT]
I used edge logic twice or thrice. Not too bad. I had to think about where to crack the puzzle. I might have used another technique, but nothing "deep".

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by jan.
#10: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jul 19, 2014 [HINT]

I agree with Kurt for the first part, but note it's only a pseudo-smile at the end. The 1 in c9 can only go in one position without conflicting with c7.

Another way to do the second part is with summing. (Always a good technique to keep in mind with blots.) The remaining horizontal clues add up to three unplaced pixels; the remaining vertical are one + a blot.

Therefore the blot must be extended two more pixels. then the last pixel goes in with LL.

agree not smile logic. i like joe's summing it's a good approach. i finished with two-way though...

whether C7R14 or C9R14 is black, C9R13 is a dot

:)

Had to guess twice. Odd on such a small puzzle. I obviously got started wrong.

Very long-legged lady in the garden
