Virgo. My sign.

:D cool
#3: Jota (jota) on Jan 4, 2014
Not mine! Cool!
#4: Bryan (Cyclone) on Jan 4, 2014 [HINT]
Deep lookahead at best - I had to take many steps on some guesses at the left 2, so "moderate" isn't the proper word. If not for breaking down the 2 there, I would have been guessing.

Not mine either - gonna be a cool series

Bryan.... try again, again

What am I missing, then?

Found to be solvable with deep lookahead by infrapinklizzard.
#9: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jan 5, 2014 [HINT]
I agree with the deep lookahead. The 10 in c4 can go anywhere from r2-r15 without a conflict in sight. Same for the 6 in c15 and the 7 in c7.

Our only hope is the 11 in c9. If it goes up past r4, it will:
> trigger the 1 in c10 to be in r4.
That will
>force the 4 in r5 left into c6-9
>and thus make r5c5 white
Which will force the 2 in c5 up into r3, making a conflict as it is too far from the pixel already in c9.

So the 11 cannot go up past r4 and c9r2-3 are white.

Then line logic to finish.

If anyone has a less-deep lookahead, I'd be glad to hear it.

Joe: how about that the ten can't go all the way down because it would interfere with the 2 in c-3?
#11: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jan 5, 2014 [HINT]
Yup. I didn't look hard enough at the 10 in c4 vs the 2 in c3.

If it goes below r13, the 2 in c3 would have to be within r2-4 (making c2r3 black). Then the 3 in r3 would conflict with c4 where the 10 could not reach up that far.

So c4r14-15 are white.

And LL to finish.

Thanks, Tom
