I had that once, as a child, in Chicago
but we kids loved it then :)

My snow removal service has cleared my driveway 8 times in the last 2 days. The city's snowplows could barely keep up (and we're used to this stuff!), and driving has been a misery. The cold is brutal. --Which is why I'm leaving for two months in Florida at the end of January.

Be cautious, Aldège. Shoveling snow is a known cause of emergency room visits for heart issues in men of a certain age...

Thx gang, believe it or not I shoveled this stuff yesterday so we could go do our Christmas shopping. With us spending so much time in hospitals with Chastydy,we never got a chance to do much shopping. Surprisingly for a 61 yr old fart,my heart is in great shape, however with my rheumatoid arthritis,my hips and wrist are killing me. Heck,I can barely pull out my shlong to go to the toilet. I thought of enlisting Niki's help, but she's told me to keep that thing away from her. Anyway, slow and steady gets the job done. I'm talking about snow shoveling again now.It has been brutally cold Lollipop, have a nice time in Florida.:)

Awesome puzzle Aldege! We didn't get that much snow but got over 1/2" ice over everything. Froze rain for 3 days. Lollipop knows what I am talking about.
#12: Lollipop (lollipop) on Dec 24, 2013
I sure do, Susan.

P.S. I called my snow removal person to thank him and his team for outstanding service, and he almost had a myocardial infarction. Apparently it's the first time since he's been in business that anyone has ever called with anything but a question or a complaint.

That's funny Lollipop. Joe is right,it wasn't packing snow luckily but we also got 2 days of freezing rain which just compressed it,then we got flurries after that. I got lucky after the first big snowfall,my neighbour about a half mile down the street showed up with his big John Deer tractor that has a blower attachment, and he did my driveway and parking pad that will hold about 10 cars. He wouldn't accept gas money and said Merry Christmas and how's the new baby? Nice guy.:)
#15: Jota (jota) on Dec 24, 2013
I love snow!!
#16: Joel Lynn (furface1) on Dec 24, 2013
I love nice neighbors! Unfortunately, my neighbor is a toad. He gets peeved when we blow snow from our driveway / right-of-way onto his property. There's nothing there!
#17: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 24, 2013
Then slip into your snow suit and come help me shovel Jota. Niki will make us hot chocolate.:)
#18: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 24, 2013
Do you mean on his property or between his ears Joel Lynn. Merry Christmas :)
#19: Thomas Genuine (Genuine) on Dec 24, 2013
I recognized the MAIN THEORY OF THE UNIVERSE! :)

There's a close inverse relation between the difficulty (of pbn puzzles) and snowing...!
When it's very snowing and Aldege is disable to get his mail, he can do easy puzzles! :)

Merry Christmas to All (in the world)!
#20: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Dec 25, 2013
I love that you did that, Lollipop! Doing what we can to put positive energy out there is wonderful, rewarded or not. After awhile it becomes habit! So many times we feel like we're just one little person. How can we make a difference? Well, every day all around us, we can make a gesture that helps someone else feel good.

That also happened once in St.Catharines Ontario,in May. It all melted the next day when it turned to 70 degrees.:)
#23: jewel crown (jewel) on Dec 30, 2013
Nice puzzle Aldege. I can relate to all that snow. We've had our fair share here in Calgary this year. I expect January will bring us more!
#24: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 31, 2013
Thx Jewel, yeah I'm sure we will too. Just by the time I get shoveled out from this snowfall.:)
#25: Bryan (Cyclone) on Jan 5, 2014
Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

Check in with me after the snowstorm passes by tomorrow morning. I might need to be dug out.
#26: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 5, 2014
Hope you don't loose power! What would you do without webpbn? :)
#27: Bryan (Cyclone) on Jan 5, 2014
I figured out a solution. It's called a helluvalotaprintouts. And a nice supply of markers, mostly black but also various other colours which I can use as backgrounds instead of black dots. So I'm armed. =D
#28: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jan 7, 2014
I much prefer to solve on paper, when I discover that I screwed up,I give it too Niki to fix my mess.:)
#29: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 7, 2014
Way to go.
#30: Bryan (Cyclone) on Jan 7, 2014
Also, power not lost - yet, at least. The bad news is that a pipe supplying the shower froze; it goes very near the outside wall, which is close to the very negative temperatures outside, and could result in a burst pipe. If that happens, we're without water for a while. Imagine not being able to flush the toilet after using the facilities. Yeah. Hopefully that doesn't happen!
#31: Jota (jota) on Jan 8, 2014
Go for the hair dryer! I fixed mine in a flash!
