I like the "spool of thread" that drives the ship.

It must work like a top: you wind the string (or heavy rope, at this scale) around the spool, then quickly jerk it back so the ship spins away.

This day was Ludwig van Beethoven's 3rd birthday. As a German, later he preferred beer, but on this day he got hot creamy chocolate (sweetened with honey).
Tea had not never become to his favourite drink. Often there were parties at Brunswick Palace with his girlfriends, but they had never got tea... :))
