The diagonal lines have multiple solutions (though easy to guess). If you doubled those lines (added a black square in R1C7, R2C6, etc.) that would solve the problem. Aren't they the Buccaneers, rather than the male deer?

Found to require some guessing by infrapinklizzard.

line and color logic places all the red and inner black.
smile logic can place twenty of each 22 black clue.
then we're stuck with the diagonals.

There are five horizontal 1s in each corner.
However, there are only four vertical 1s in each corner.
Therefore the last black pixel in each corner must be appended to the twenty we already have in c4 & c27.


that leaves a mere 256 solutions - four solutions in each corner.

However, as Kristen said, the correct one is easy to guess with picture "logic".

Thanks all, my first attempt at a picture puzzle. Appreciate the feedback. Saw the multiple solutions issue but didn't know how to change it without ruining the pic.
