#1: Bryan (Cyclone) on Dec 1, 2013 [SPOILER]

Martial - otherwise known as marso - submitted exactly 99 puzzles to WebPBN through 2010 and then disappeared. Martial's fourth submission also happens to be the only one not solvable by logic (another has an exclamation mark but none of the rest are notated in any way).

I really didn't do anything to this; I only added a few squares to the nose to allow logic to figure it out, but didn't fully connect it to at least maintain a small amount of difficulty (and give a more crooked look). More than my other three so far, this is more or less a pure historical revisit. In the end, I decided to extend the hat on each side by one column but didn't make changes to the height of the puzzle.

How about make one of your own Bryan?

Haha Tom, I knew you were going to ask that. =) I have submitted some rebus puzzles in the past. I have to confess I'm not the best of artists and feel I can make better contributions by looking at puzzles that are not already logically solvable and helping do just that, since some solvers will otherwise skip out on some otherwise great images. The rebus where I drew an island with a palm tree (I think that's what it was) turned out to be one of my creative days, and that was easy enough; in general, my "art" isn't that good. =)

okay Bryan...but I bet you can create your own... just me rambling...

Well, if I create my own, I'll probably go back to cartoonish rebuses. I've seen some amazing images like a highly detailed glass of wine; something like that I cannot do.

That said, perhaps I can use a working ROM of a certain video game and grab some images from there for enlarging...we'll see. They might form a nice series if I can turn them monochrome.

I like this idea....sortof an historical look through the annals of PBN. Like the Magic Man too!
