Puzzle Description:

the doll from the movie.... (wanted to throw out a sneaky solve for the long-timers)

after ll runs out...

you should be able to use el to dot off all around but leaving blank the top middle at r's 1-3, c's 6-16... when you're at that point, r2,c10 must be black. see if you can figure out why.... it's pretty straight-forward to finish after that

Looks like the poster for the Blair Witch Project.

great solve kurt :)

Fun solve, though I think I did it in a more complicated way than was necessary. :P

I actually thought this movie was cool.:)

Kurt, el will get rid of c4-5 in rows 1-3 and also 17-18 in r3, but only c18 in r2. If the 5 in r2 goes in 13-17, the 2 in c17 can go up into r1.

This doesn't hurt your argument that r2c10 must be black, though. No matter where the 5 in r3 goes, the 1s in c6-8 or in c13-16 will force the 5 in r2 to be in c9-12 (not just c10). Then it's just LL to finish

The way I did it was to do edge logic on the 5 in r3 to eliminate c4-5 and c17-18,
Then el on the 5 in r2 to eliminate c4-5 and c18,

And then extended el on the 5 in r3. If it is in c6-10, then edge logic puts the 5 in r2 in c9-11. Plus one step extends c11 into r3 creating a conflict. So r3c6 must be white.

And then xel on the 5 in r3 again - if it starts in c7 then the same thing happens one column over. So r3c7 must be white.

Then line logic to finish.

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by infrapinklizzard.

This is what I get for going back to solve puzzles from a while ago. I thought this was Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Love it, Ron! I, too, think it look kinda like Groot.

Fun solve. I did guess once.

Thanks for sharing the explanation of the logic used. I think I'm not advanced enough in using EL, so I did some look-ahead in r2 and 23, and got it done.
