Try to understand meaning of the word: "HISTORY"
This word means past events of the whole planet Earth. Which have tiny little but important PARTS those events, what have happened in your own country.

For your information THOUSANDS of servicemen from the USA died in EUROPE during World War II fighting for YOUR country as well as all of Europe. You should be observing this Memorial Day with us in memory of those brave servicemen. Have some respect!

If I know well, never in the history American soldiers were invited to fight in Hungary. The only exception was 57 years ago (1956), when here was a Revolution for Liberty. In those days our Prime Minister invited USA to help us, but Mr. Truman answered they were not interested in the Hungarian freedom, because it was the territory of the Soviet army.
It was a good example (what you said, too): The "all" word in the phrase "Liberty for all" you mean all American. I don't think so. Have some respect, too!

Read these and understand what you keep misinterpreting:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

We do not pretend to guarantee liberty to the rest of the world. Neither do we deny liberty to the rest of the world. What we do is guarantee is liberty to those who choose to live here and be a responsible citizen.

I did not say we fought in Hungary. I said that we fought for all of Europe including Hungary. If the United States had not entered the war, Hungary would probably not exist as it today. I just finished reading a book about the heroism of the Hungarian pilots who flew with the British and the Americans during World War II. In this book they explained how Hungary kept getting chopped up and were continually invaded by their neighbors.

Well said, Norma, but I think it won't change anything. I get annoyed with his comments, but believe he may be baiting to get a rise out of some of us. Try to ignore him.

I have ignored him, but when he was disrespectful of our fallen heroes I kind of saw red. He is arrogant and self serving and as you say, trying to get him to see the light won't change him.

wonderful sentiment - I enjoyed solving this puzzle and seeing the final image. living in Colorado springs, Colorado, I am surrounded by veterans and active duty service members. my father was in the army, my mother was in the navy, my mother's husband was both army AND navy, my roommate was air force, and my son is currently serving in the air force. I am honored to be among so many who served/serve our country, and quite often, other parts of the globe.

Nice one! I had no idea what it was (maybe a man carrying a pane of glass?) until I read the description, and then it popped into place.

Thomas, we've had regular contributors from many countries in Europe and South America, though the vast majority are from North America. They have made quite a few puzzles about their hometowns and stories from their childhoods, etc. You are the first to be belligerent about it, and try to make people feel ashamed for not being interested in foreign (i.e. Your) lands. It was an excellent idea to do a series about renowned opera houses, since that's something that interests you. But rather than asking people to guess and getting angry when nobody had the correct guess, you could have simply named the buildings and provided a link to more information, for those who wanted to learn more. Some people even take incorrect guesses and make new puzzles out of them, which is entertaining and informative for all solvers, plus it makes the person who left the comment feel special.

@ Thomas: you are totally out of line and your definition of history is wrong, have some of your free time to search, learn and prepare yourself to give opinions.
BTW I was born and raised in Venezuela, South America.
