Sorry for it not being solvable by logic alone. I worked at it for 3 hrs. with no success. These are hard,I don't know how Kurt,Kristen,and Linda are so good at it. I'm just not great at faces. Anyway,if someone wants to tweak it and republish it in their name,I'm ok with that.:)

this is actually a good portrait of them. i like the addition of the red. I appreciate the compliment but i'm not good at faces, either. parodies & caricatures, maybe, but I wish I could do portraits as well as Kristen and the others. I do photorealistic portraiture in real life but can't seem to translate that to pixels...aargh.

I have a feeling that convoluted color logic may get somewhere on this, but need to look later. Let me just leave a note here for myself: look at c23&25vsc24 esp 2and6 vs 5

gets you a lil bit, Joe...but not all too far. with careful looking, one could place half of the red and get a small amount of black to boot.....then for kicks, I took some guesses and used the "check" feature to place the rest of the red to see if that would help solving the rest of it... a no-go there as well

Guessed and guessed. Nice picture tough.

Love these difficult puzzles. Thanks so much Aldege. I did have to guess and even solved most of it with errors, but was able to correct it in the end. I was able to solve the red entirely with logic, and most of the top half with a combination of logic and educated guesses. Bottom was more difficult and involved some trial and error. I wish there were more of these challenging puzzles on the site.
