peek at solution solve puzzle
quality: difficulty: solvability: line & color logic only
Puzzle Description:
Roses lack the gene to produce blue pigment, so true blue roses are impossible to naturally produce. According to wikipedia, however, a genetically engineered blue rose has now been developed. I actually find this kind of disturbing, but i like the GM-free pixel version. :-)

Oh..but I sure would love it if there was a natural blue rose, I think I would have a yard full of them, blue is my favorite color.#2: Arduinna (arduinna) on Feb 19, 2008 [SPOILER]
Very good work ..love the picture :)
I was afraid the clue meant it might be impossible to solve!#3: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Feb 19, 2008 [SPOILER]
Very pretty. A really well done rose!
I read a story about geneticists putting deep sea fish genes in fruit to keep them from freezing. Yummy! Fishie strawberries!
I liked this puzzle very much, the rose is so pretty.#4: Gypso (Gypso) on Feb 21, 2008

Thank you
My favorite color is blue as well. I loved this picture. At first I thought it was also referring to this puzzle being impossible to solve.#6: Adam Nielson (monkey) on Jun 27, 2008

Adam you don't have to repeat yourself...we heard you the first time (j.k.) :) ...hey know we have 3 things in common!#8: Jennie Lacy (Coricopat.1) on Jan 18, 2009 [HINT]
I think blue roses are beautiful, but is anyone else bothered that some scientist is wasting time and resources just to make roses a new color?#9: Jota (jota) on Jun 25, 2009
I'm not only bothered, but worried too.#10: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jul 22, 2011 [SPOILER]
Blue Roses always remind me of The Glass Menagerie. :)#11: Doug Graiser (dmgraiser) on Oct 11, 2017 [SPOILER]
Thanks to this puzzle, I now understand a little bit more about Twin Peaks. They reference a blue rose in that show, and now I know why!#12: Byrdie (byrdie) on Dec 2, 2019
Very nice image. Reminds me of a carving pattern I've seen.
