How lovely, and it looks like you were having pleasant dreams! I think the smile was my favorite part of the image. Well done again, Linda!

At first I thought maybe the red was a roof top or the side of a building, then I gradually saw a person in bed having a very nice rest. Great job.
#4: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Oct 15, 2013
thank you kim. :-) I was just so happy to be sleeping in a motionless bed!

thank you, aldege! as always I appreciate your comments.

thank you for solving my puzzle, norma!

Hi Linda; I'm back after a busy couple of days, and still puzzling over your destination!

I'm a bit stumped on your clue that you're driving eastward after your overnight in Middletown, because I had assumed if your destination was further east, you'd have just stayed on the train longer and gotten off closer to Philly. But perhaps your friend was already near Middletown that day, or maybe he or she just wanted to avoid city traffic snarls.

(but I digress…) Anyway, I think my final guess for your childhood home is going to be somewhere right around Easton, PA.

hi amy - I neglected to say that I stayed in Middletown to visit my friend. it was easier for me to stay closer to her (she lives in Harrisburg) since she was my ride while I was out east. so my train ride ended at Middletown/Harrisburg, but my final destination continued in her car...

Good night, Linda! :)
I liked sleeping on trains, that was much more comfortable than the long distance coaches...

I am happy to see that you got some well deserved rest. I am not a fan of sleeping in a hotel bed but I can see your point about it not moving! I have never slept on a train before but have slept on a boat many times so may be similar. Another awesome puzzle!
#9: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Oct 16, 2013
good night, Thomas! :-)

thank you, susan - I have never even been on a boat! can you believe that? maybe that will be my next trip..

Not Easton then… and due east… so I guess it must be Philly? Or one of the many small towns and suburbs that surround Philly, but if I had to guess which one of those, I'd be at it for days!

Hey, you were close to my neck of the woods if your train went through Johnstown and then around the Horseshoe Curve?
Neat series and great pictures
#13: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Oct 17, 2013
thanks, tom!

hi linda - we indeed traveled through Johnstown. the horseshoe curve was one of the most incredible sights on my journey! I also remember everyone losing cell phone connection as the train approached the Allegheny mountains. I couldn't keep my eyes off the mountainscape in eastern Pennsylvania - the rocky mountains where I live are indeed rocky, with various species of pine and few deciduous trees and I noticed it was the other way around from what I could see of the Alleghenies. beautiful country, indeed.

Looks very restful! You even included some tacky motel art. :)
#16: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Oct 17, 2013
lol, Kristen! it wouldn't be a hotel room without it :-)

Hey Linda! I lived in MD for 20 yrs & whenever we used to visit my Grandma up in western NY, we used to go up 83 & , I believe, we drove right through this area if my memory serves me correctly! Thx for the puzzle!
#18: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Oct 18, 2013
hi beth! I always wanted to visit Maryland - my friend stayed at a rental condo for a week in ocean city and went crabbing every day. I would love to have fresh seafood at my disposal!
#19: Beth Baumgartner (valleygirl2) on Oct 19, 2013
Hey Linda! Yes, MD is a BEAUTIFUL state I must say! I can remember in HS, you were NOBODY if u didn't go to Ocean City -- I'm such a nerd -- the only time I ever went there was for a state Accounting competition! LOL! I love seafood myself; however, now that I live in Memphis, it sure is difficult to find a good crabcake!
#20: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Oct 19, 2013
oh that IS nerdy! lol!
now that you're in Memphis, though, I bet you can get some really good barbecue!
#21: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Oct 20, 2013
Linda you must go on a boat soon. It is one of the most peaceful activities for me - as soon as the boat takes off from the dock its like the only thing that matters is the lake and the loons.
#22: Linda Martin (ilovethispuzzle123) on Oct 20, 2013
i know I will - I can feel it happening soon. I would love to go boating on a lake - no fishing or doing anything, just being on the boat and listening to the sounds (or lack of) around me. I know I will love it.
#23: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Oct 21, 2013
Exactly!

Estupendo puzzle, me ha encantado la habitación. Yo he dormido en hoteles, en trenes, en barcos y hasta en avión, y cuando se tiene sueño todo vale.
